Upgrade your Memory is easy to do but you have to consider few  things before you made some steps. Because one wrong move can give you headache by either money problem or your whole computer can be burn out. To share you how far can go if you go wrong in upgrading memory let me share you my friend experienced. My friend try to use DDR2 memory from his Pentium 4 computer ( Pentium can only use DDR1 PC 266 to PC 3200), he push to fit the memory at DDR 2 Slot and the power cord also connected. Unfortunately, the PC automatically turn ON and memory, processor and motherboard got burn for that. Now he suffer more problem because of one wrong move.

 

Here’s the simple procedure you need to follow to avoid same incident.

  • Read the Manual of your Motherboard. Check if what types of memory can be use for your Motherboard. SRAM, DDR, DDR2, DDR3
  • Check the maximum memory capabilities of your Motherboard. 2GB, 4GB, 8GB or more. If your board support only 3 GB, you can only use 1GB+2GB. Don’t put  more than motherboard support. If you used more than the memory required for your motherboard, "no display appear in your screen".
  • Check speed capabilities of your motherboard. DDR2 Speed sample (PC 3200, PC 4300, PC5300, PC6400, PC 8600). If you used more than the speed required for your motherboard, "no display appear in your screen".
  • Lastly, before you put memory, make sure the power cord was unplugged to avoid same incident as my friend.

NTRL Missing! is this message appear in your screen once you start boot up your PC? This problem can be hardware problem or system problem, but mostly on system problem.  For system problem, mostly this came from viruses that corrupted your system that work to boot up your system. The other problem came from  accidentally deleting some data or files that work for your system to load your windows. The screen shot are few files maybe you accidentally deleted or corrupted by virus.

NTRL Missing Trouble Shooting

  • Get your License CD and use it to repair your system, not reprogram to avoid deleting your whole drive.  For repair only, if you have knowledge in setting up your OS. While in the middle of setting up your OS, after pressing F8 command, the second command appear below (R for repair, appear below your screen) . Press R to repair your whole system lost , but if Repair didn’t appear you may need may second solution.
  • Removed your hard drive to your PC or Laptop and slave it to other computer with the same Operating System ( Windows XP) and after that,  push ON and it automatically repair your system. Don’t press any key to avoid interruption. If no automatic repair appear, you don’t have other option but to setting up again your OS.
  • Final Solution, if setting up or reprogram  OS still not working, you need to replace your hard drive.

BLUE SCREEN TROUBLESHOOTING

I think most of the computer users encounter this problem, you computer was freeze into blue screen and give white message about the encounter problem of your system like memory dumb or their is problem in your display card.

Most of this problem came from Memory Card ( SDR,DDR, DDR2, DDR3), you memory can’t support the  required system requirement of your application you are using  that causes your system corrupted and begin to restart your computer again and again or sometimes even your  memory card good enough to support your application they had some physical defect you didn’t notice. The other causes of this blue screen came from Video Card and if your computer is too old, almost all parts of your computer became the causes.

I encounter different sources of problem in this blue screen trouble and most of the computers give me  a headache are those too old computers. But just like I said, most of them are because of memory card and the others are from power supply, he can’t give supply for both hard drive and optical drive and you need to unplug one of them to continue loading your system.

Their is also a chances this problem coming from incorrect installation of drivers from sound, video card, etc. or incomplete installation of some programs.

The best way to troubleshoot your computer is reformat/resetup your system and start tracing the problem each part of your computer, once your computer was fresh formatted their is no reason that is coming from virus, incomplete or incorrect installation of software and corrupted system.
